Hi, I’m Laurin

I was born and raised in Lewisville, Texas. I graduated from Lewisville High School in 2002, and have lived in Old Town since 2007.
I’ve always been an artist and a nature lover.

Having been hired for my first portrait commission in junior high, I’ve specialized in portraits for many years. I have gone from favoring pencil and chalk pastels in my youth, to inks and acrylic paints today. My work has grown continuously more colorful as my personal style has evolved.

Many of my commissions are pet paintings, especially dogs. In addition to countless human portraits, I’ve also painted cats, houses, trees, and a pet cow.

My favorite reference photos to work from are candid shots. My favorite subjects are my kids and trees.
